About HomeWell of Northwest Austin

Meet Ronnie Taylor, Our Owner

Ronnie Taylor and his family

Ronnie’s passion for helping others in a time of need led him to the home care industry after 30+ years of leading teams in retail. After losing his father to a terminal illness, having grandparents in assisted living, and a mom that lives in another city needing care, he experienced what many families are dealing with when faced with caring for a loved one. Families often face this challenge without warning and have to react quickly. Ronnie learned first-hand how to navigate through the processes of the health care system. As with most illnesses, the client has a much better outlook at life when at home. Knowing this and experiencing it with his own family made him that much more committed to helping other families through the process. .

“Ronnie is an active member of the Austin community. During his tenure in retail he worked on many local projects such as the Central Texas Food Bank. He is currently serving on the Candlelight Ranch Advisory Board since 2011. Candlelight Ranch partners with community groups, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to provide a platform and programs to meet youth advocacy, education and outreach goals and objectives. He served on the board of JDRF from 2007-2013. During his tenure there, he led efforts to enhance fundraising efforts for Central Texas. He served as the Chairman of the Golf Tourney as well as the Deal for a Cure Texas Hold’em event.

When asked what he wanted to do after his career in retail, the answer was easy. His grandmother echoed the phrase “always help the other fella”, which he obviously took to heart and is something he instills in his own children. Helping people is his passion and he feels lucky to now be doing exactly that through HomeWell.
