Steve Compton

After working in various professional consultancy positions over the past 30 years, Steve Compton decided that he wanted to build an independent business of his own. Coincidentally, as he was researching opportunities in the home care industry, both of his aging parents’ health began to decline. This is when he truly realized the gaps in the local marketplace for high quality, in-home elder care.

Compton opened his HomeWell Senior Care business in April 2006. As one of the first franchisees in Canada, he has built his HomeWell Senior Care into a home care business with a reputation for dependability and attention to detail. His agency is known for its old-fashioned, honest approach to business, as well as being a fair, supportive employer in the local community. As a result, almost all of Compton’s new business comes from referrals and recommendations through the government-funded Community Care Access Centre (CCAC), local hospitals and various community support organizations.

In addition to HomeWell, Compton is actively involved in the community through the Lincoln and Grimsby Chambers of Commerce, as well as with local charities like the local Alzheimer Society, McNally House and others. Compton plans to continue growing his business through community partnerships, hard work and by constantly striving to achieve the very best in personal care services. He feels fortunate to have created a trustworthy and reliable service that seniors and families alike can depend on for outstanding, individualized in-home care.
