  • What Are HomeWell’s Hours of Operations?

    HomeWell’s office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except for major holidays). However, a staff member is available by phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist you with urgent care or staffing needs.
  • How Much Does Home Care Cost?

    Home care is the best value and most comprehensive form of care available. If you aren’t sure if you can afford the services you want, HomeWell Care Managers can arrange an economical solution by using an innovative assessment tool, designed to calculate the fewest number of hours needed for your care plan. Each HomeWell office is independently owned and operated, so rates may vary.
  • Do You Accept Long-Term Care Insurance?

    In many instances, yes. However, whether or not your needed services are covered will depend on your specific long-term care policy. We are more than happy to assist you with facilitating reimbursement with your insurance company any way we can.

  • Do You Accept Medicare?

    No. Medicare covers skilled care services provided by licensed home health agencies, not assistance with personal care, companionship, or homemaker services provided by HomeWell and other home care agencies.

    However, we are more than happy to help you find the care you need from a licensed home health agency if you need medical support. In fact, we often coordinate services with home health agencies for the needs of our clients.

  • Is There an Hourly Minimum for Service?

    Yes. Depending on the specific type of care you require, the hour minimums may vary. We encourage you to contact us to inquire about your specific needs.
  • Can I Cancel My Services at Any Time?

    At HomeWell Senior Care, we aim to keep our services as flexible as possible. You are not obligated to use our services for a specified period of days; you may cancel services or a scheduled shift at any time. If you have more questions about this, feel free to reach out to us at any time.

  • How Do You Select Your Personal Assistants?

    As an industry leader, HomeWell deeply understands your concern for safety and security. We never hire anyone we would not welcome into our own homes. All HomeWell employees, including Personal Assistants and administrative staff members, undergo comprehensive pre-employment screening that goes beyond the standard interviews and references.

    We conduct nationwide background, criminal, immigration, and identity checks, along with competency testing. Because we care about the level of care we provide, HomeWell conducts client service and safety training for all employees.

  • Who Pays the Personal Assistant?

    HomeWell keeps the payment process as simple as possible. All our Personal Assistants are employees of HomeWell. In addition to managing your care and supervising the Personal Assistants, HomeWell handles all of the administrative, billing, payroll, and tax concerns involved in the employee process.
